B.A. in Art Education -
Florida State University
Since the age of 11,
portraits have been one of her favorite and most challenging
subjects. She has studied portraits under nationally known
artists such as Frank Corvino (5 years) and Mark Menendez (3
years), learning the methods of the Old Masters. In creating a
portrait, Susan seeks to capture the soul and essence of the
person.
Coming from her background in
Art Education, Susan is a firm believer in taking classes and
seminars for continued effective learning. She studied oil
painting with Judith Johnson and watercolors with Cheryl
Jorgensen. Susan's professional teaching experience includes:
CenterPlace, Diane's Art Place, Palma Ceia Presbyterian
Preschool, and Tampa Catholic High School.
