Nelida is an enthusiastic artist whose natural talent, present from an early age, has mellowed and developed since she traveled the world.  She speaks several languages and is also a talented seamstress and crafter.  Having lived in various cities in the US as well as several countries, she has taken and given many workshops.   In 2004 she taught a watercolor class to several groups of 30 on a Caribbean cruise.  She currently lives with her husband John, retired from IBM, (they have one son, Daniel), as well as with her three cats…all rescued from various situations.  Her love for animals and the natural environment is evident in her paintings.
